Main text of this book is composed by a report taken by Father Bogos Nataynyan in 1877. Natanyan who was sent to Sivas by the patriarchate of that time Nerses Vardjabedyan, investigated the regions of Sivas and the neighboring villages of Tokay, Amasya and Merzifon in order to check the progress and application of newly established Armenian Constitution of 1863.
Arsen Yarman was born in Istanbul, 1949, completed his primary education in Mekhitarsit School, secondary and high school education in Italy. He is fluent in Italian and French as good as in Turkish and Armenian. He was a member of Board of Trustees of Surp Prgitch Armenian Hospital between 1997-2001 and 2011-2015. He contributed various publications, researchers and historians.
He is the author of the books which are “Armenians in the Ottoman Health Services and the History of Surp Prgich Hospital”, “Internationally Recognized Saint Vlas”, “Palu-Harput 1878”, Frienship of Sultan Mahmut II and Kazaz Artin Amira”, Armenian Health Services Community 1912-1922” as well as the book “Sivas 1877” which is also one of the remarkable books of 2008 in comparison to its sales reports, popularity and its argumentative nature.
